One Mean Dana 60 Axle Swap
A post from our Jeep Hunter Google + page.

“I am in the process of shortening and installing a Dana 60 front axle into my YJ and I just got the hydro assist mounted.
I am using a hydraulic ram from surpluscenter.com. The pins I turned out of some 2″ steel rod. I threaded the ends and made my own nuts. I did this so that the pin and nut could support boots that cover the swivel eyes. For the boots, I modified some YJ tie rod end boots that I had laying around.
The one pin snugly fits inside my leaf spring perch. I still need to weld this, but my welder is broken. 🙁 The other pin sits in a mount that is clamped to my tie rod. The boot going around the shaft is off of my old shocks that need to be replaced with the new axle. It fit too well to not use.”
Go give him a follow, he posts regularly on his google + page and website with good, usable information for his Jeep Wrangler YJ along with his very interesting projects he works out on this Dana 60.
